Several Challenges That You Will Find When You’re Learning Japanese by Yourself
Hello, everyone! If you are reading this blog right now, chances are you have a consideration or plan to learn the Japanese language just by yourself. Personally, I have been learning Japanese by myself for about eight years now. In this past eight years I have seen several challenges that you may also find if you are going to learn Japanese by yourself. So for today’s blog, I will share with you some challenges that you may also find if you are planning to learn Japanese by yourself.
1. Lack of Guidance
The first challenge that is really clear from learning the Japanese language just by yourself is the lack of guidance. As there is no teacher that will teach you about the language or how you should study the language, you have to do everything yourself. You have to teach yourself about the language and you have to make your own learning schedule and plan instead of somebody doing it for you.
2. Procrastination
The third challenge that you will surely find when you are learning Japanese by yourself is the fact that there is nobody to ask if you have something in your mind. While there is google and also chatGPT, it is possible that an answer not directly produced by a human may not sit really well for some people as the authenticity of the answer remains questionable. To solve this problem you can simply ask questions in an online forum or you can join a social media group that specifically discusses the Japanese language.
4. Distraction
Compared to learning a language in a classroom, there will be a high chance that you will have a lot of distractions coming from everything around you like your phone or people around you for example. This is why preparing for the place that you will use to study is a recommended thing to do. While you are studying you can turn off your phone if you are not using it to help with your study.
That is all for today’s post. By sharing the challenges that you may find by learning Japanese just by yourself, I hope you can get a rough picture on how it is like if you are really going to learn the language by yourself. As online learning is getting more popular each day, I personally recommend you to just attend an online course instead of learning the language by yourself if you can’t find any Japanese language tutor in your place. If you want to cut your spending on learning the language, learning it by yourself will indeed reduce the cost a lot. Thank you for reading this blog.
