Recommended Japanese Learning Books for Beginners

If you want to start to learn Japanese by yourself, the first thing you need is the books that can guide you through your study. There are many Japanese learning books for beginners that you can choose from the internet or from your local bookstore. In this blog I have three recommended books that you can choose to learn basic Japanese.

Minna no Nihongo

Minna no Nihongo is one of the most recommended books for learning Japanese. Many Japanese Learners will instantly recommend you this book if you ask them for a recommended book for learning basic Japanese. The book is available in several languages such as English and Indonesian. Minna no Nihongo is divided into several books for different language proficiency.

The first level of the book contains everything you need to know about the basics of Japanese such as the basics of Japanese writings, basic greetings, basic Japanese grammars, and also frequently used words in daily settings. I personally highly recommend this book if you want to start learning Japanese. The book can be easily found in online shops.

SUPER EASY Cara Mudah Belajar BAHASA JEPANG

The next beginner Japanese book that I recommend is SUPER EASY Cara Mudah Belajar BAHASA JEPANG. This is my first book that paved the way for me to start learning Japanese by myself. I bought this book in Gramedia but you can also buy the book from online shops if you can't find it in Gramedia. The book is available in Indonesian.

The book is brought in several chapters that progress from the really basic structures to the more complex basic structures. In the start of every chapter, you will also get to know new words to aid you in learning Japanese. This is the book I recommend the most if you have difficulties on learning from other books because the material in this book is brought in the simplest way and starts from a very simple structure.

Jago Kuasai BAHASA JEPANG

Another book that I recommend is called Jago Kuasai BAHASA JEPANG. I bought this book from Gramedia but you can also find the book from online shops. The book is available in Indonesian. Compared to the second book, this one is bigger in size and of course covers more materials.

In this book, you will be introduced to a lot of the basics in Japanese. The materials include the particles and their usages in Japanese, suffixes in Japanese, and many more materials that beginners need to know.

From the three books above, my top recommendation is ,not surprisingly, Minna no Nihongo because of its popularity in the Japanese learning community internationally or domestically. Even though Minna no Nihongo is my top recommendation, you can also check out the other books because it is also interesting and insightful. If you still don't have any Japanese learning book, you should get one now to help you with your study. With this blog I hope that you can start learning Japanese with ease and less struggle.
